The Village of Raymond held a meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 4.
In water and sewer, Mayor Dennis Held stated that an inventory list for clamps has been submitted to the insurance company.
Finance reported that a CD will come due in April. Clerk Greenwalt will send bid letters around to find the best interest rate. A check in the amount of $38,690.70 has been received from the insurance company for building and demo costs resulting from the recent fire.
The village's newly purchased squad car is currently at Whiteside Communications, where radios and computers are being installed. The board anticipates that the car will be ready by the end of this week or early next week. The car will then go to the Vinyl Guy for lettering.
Water Superintendent Tom Irwin will leave on Wednesday, March 13 to pick up the newly purchased sprayer. Water Superintendent Irwin stated that he has been working on getting equipment ready for the season. Trustee Poggenpohl addressed the board on the purchase of a new Grasshopper lawn mower. Mayor Held stated that Barker Implement gave him a quote of $13,500 and that the board would discuss a possible purchase at the next meeting. In additional golf course updates, the Vinyl Guy will print new golf cart permits for the upcoming year.
Trustee Poggenpohl made a motion to enter into executive session to discuss personnel and land acquisition. The board moved into executive session.
Following the board's return from executive session, Trustee Poggenpohl made a motion to purchase the property at 404C North O'Bannon from Susan Greenwalt at a price of $79,500 with posession to take place on Wednesday, May 1. The motion was seconded by Trustee Bernhardt and passed unanimously. Mayor Held stated that a contract is available for signature and additional paperwork is forthcoming.
