Raymond William Zilinski, 78, of Benld, died Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 1:19 a.m. at Highland Health Care Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Kravanya Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Zilinski was born Aug. 13, 1940, in Chicago, to Tony and Ruth (Baltruzis) Zilinski.
He served in the U.S. Marines, and was a retired owner of the Log Cabin.
Employed by IDOT as a laborer, he was a veteran service operator in Carlinville. He was a member of the Litchfield Moose Lodge and the American Legion Post 307 in Madison.
He is survived by his sisters, Sandy Francis and Gerri (Don) Maeder; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-brother, Major Frank Simutis.
