Rhonda D. (Scritchfield) Emery, 64, of Carlinville, died Friday, March 29, 2019, at her home.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 1, at Heinz Funeral Home. Burial followed at Bethel Ridge Cemetery in Atwater.
Mrs. Emery was born June 30, 1954, in Springfield, to William H. and Frances E. (Visser) Scritchfield. She married Lynn Emery on Sept. 9, 1977, in Farmersville, and he survives.
She was a graduate of Raymond High School. She was employed by Hawkeye Insurance, the State of Illinois, and was the proprietor of The Door Mouse. She enjoyed traveling, tending her flowers and caring for her furry friends.
Along with her husband, she is survived by sisters, Mary Ann (Alex) Jordan of Divernon and Carol (Jim) Jirousek McRoy of Farmersville; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a great-great-nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Melanie Jordan, and great-nephew, Korey Jordan.
Memorials may be made to Adopt-A-Pet or the American Cancer Society for Ovarian Cancer.
