Richard Dean Powderly, Sr., 85, of Pana, died on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. at his residence.
Cremation rites were accorded and no services are planned at this time. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
Mr. Powderly was born Dec. 19, 1934, in Otterville, to John Richard and Joyce Eleanor (Ridenour) Powderly.
He served his country in the U.S. Army, and went on to work as a mechanic.
Mr. Powderly is survived by his son, Alan (significant other Cheyenne Snyder) Powderly of Pana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Allen Powderly; and sister, Neva Wittig.
