Richard J. Kaufman, 83, of Denver, CO, died on Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, at his home.
Cremation rites were accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Kaufman was born on Sept. 10, 1937, in Hornsby, to Edward and Rosalie (Schwab) Kaufman. He married Dianne Scobell on Sept. 20, 1958, and she survives.
He graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1956 and moved to Denver, CO, in 1965.
Mr. Kaufman was employed at Caterpillar Tractor Co., retiring after 30 years of service. He was a proud union member with U.A.W. Local 1415.
His many interests included golf, bowling, camping, fishing and traveling. Many people remember him as a kind, sociable, gentle soul who told such good stories.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Kaufman is survived by his sons, Dan (Deb) and Tim (Denise); granddaughters, Paige (Jinho) Tohara, Jessica (Marcus) Sena; grandson, Matthew; great-grandson, A.J.; and sister, Margaret Fritts.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bernard Kaufman.
