Richard K. Fox, 77, of Ramsey, died on Monday, Oct. 2, 2023, at SBL Fayette Co. Hospital in Vandalia.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct, 13, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Ramsey Christian Church in Ramsey. A celebration of life service will follow at the church with Dick Wamsley officiating. A luncheon will be held after the service. Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Fox was born April 1, 1946, in Waukegan, the son of Bertram and Lula (Miller) Fox. He married Susan V. Proctor in 1975 in Waukegan. He worked in commercial building and union trucking, and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of Ramsey Christian Church and the Ramsey American Legion. Mr. Fox was first and foremost an expert pool player and a furniture maker/builder and enjoyed riding motorcycles and building remote control planes. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and his greatest love was spending time with his family and three kitties.
Mr.Fox is survived by his wife, Susan V. Fox of Ramsey; children, son Michael (Tanna) Fox of Fredericksburg, VA and daughter Laura (Tim) Ray of Hesperia, CA; stepson Keith Jackson and Aimee; grandchildren Gabriel Evelyn Fox, Erik Michael Fox, Tessa Layla Fox, Ella Claire Fox, Jacob Brown, Ashlyn Brown and Nick Ray; great-grandchild Sage Maria Fox; stepgrandchildren Paisley, Felicity and Kitch; sister Berta Johnsen of Sun City, AZ and special niece Teri Proctor.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Fox was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Fox.
