Ricky Eugene Cerentano, 62, of Wilsonville, died on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at a later date. Hough Funeral Home in Raymond is assisting the family.
Mr. Cerentano was born Dec. 31, 1957, in Litchfield, to Anthony Cerentano and Shirley (Lerche) Coburn. He married Tena Marie Jones on Aug. 27, 1976, in Gillespie, and she survives.
He graduated from Gillespie High School with the class of 1975. He went on to serve in the Illinois National Guard, and later began working as a millwright.
Mr. Cerentano was a member of the UAW, Local 691. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, mushroom hunting, and spending time with family and friends, but most of all with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother of Springfield; daughter, Cari (Jeff) Fleming of Staunton; grandchildren, Emilie, Sean, Mason, Marley, Reagan, Tyson and Cody; sister, Joyce Brewers of Jacksonville; stepsisters, Terri Cerentano, Brenda East and Julie Mason; parents-in-law, James and Mary Jones of Wilsonville; stepmother, Pauline Cerentano of Mt. Olive; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Cerentano was preceded in death by his father; son, Cody; brother, Mike; and sister, Tina.
