Robert "Bobby" Allen, 72, of Panama, died on Friday, July 26, 2019, at 7:27 p.m. at his residence.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and memorial services will be held at a later date. Perfetti-Assalley Funeral Home in Panama is assisting the family.
Mr. Allen was born Nov. 24, 1946, in Greenville, to Robert and Genevieve (Hubbard) Allen. He married Judy Paulette Sue Kinworthy on July 24, 1969, in Sorento, and she preceded him in death on March 6, 2019.
He graduated from Greenville High School, and went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army. During his civilian career, he was a general laborer, working as an operator for over 40 years.
Mr. Allen was a longtime member of the VFW Post #6628 in Panama and Laborer's Local 1084.
He was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman.
Mr. Allen is survived by his grandchildren, J.D. (Laura Denson) Allen of Sorento, Leah Allen of Donnellson and Zachary Allen of Greenville; brother, Ronnie (Linda) Allen of Sorento; sister, Rita (Richard) Hosto of Reno; brothers-in-law, Paul D. (Vicky) Kinworthy of Reno and Lee E. Kinworthy of St. Petersburg, FL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, he was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Robert, Michael and James Allen; and a brother, Larry Lee Allen.
