Robert ‘Bob’ Bergman, 78

Robert “Bob” Wayne Begrman of Harvel, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at Hillsboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in  Hillsboro.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 16, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro. A private family funeral Mass will be celebrated with burial in St. Raymond’s Catholic Cemetery in Raymond. IDPH guidelines will be followed. Hough Funeral Home in Raymond is assisting the family.

Mr. Bergman was born Feb. 28, 1942, in Raymond, the son of William Fred and Helen Louise (Swires) Bergman.

He retired from Caterpillar and was an active UAW member. He was also a member of the Shoal Creek ABATE, Montgomery County Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, Knights of Columbus and the former Raymond Gun Club. He enjoyed camping, hunting and especially fishing.

Mr. Bergman is survived by children, Tempa (husband Bryan) Gatermann of Waggoner, Tina (husband Chris) Blankenship of Virden and Ty (wife Meaghan) Bergman of Roscoe; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and siblings, Dorothy (husband Frank) Carroll of Litchfield, Margaret (husband Bernard) Jenkins of Raymond and Melvin Bergman of Litchfield.

Memorials may be made to the Raymond/Harvel Ambulance Squad, the Raymond/Harvel Volunteer Fire Department or St. Raymond Catholic Cemetery in Raymond. Online condolences may be left at www.houghfuneralhome.com.
