Robert "Bob" D. Bone, 82, of Smithboro, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, at his residence.
Visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 26, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Smith Grove Cemetery in rural Greenville.
Mr. Bone was born Oct. 18, 1936, in Greenville, to Roy and Dorothy (Williford) Bone.
He worked as a roofer in Bond County for Lanejoe and Potts Roofing.
He is survived by his children, Robert Bone, Rick Bone of Greenville, Connie Emmerson of Greenville, Yvonne Schrage of Greenville, Donna Welch of Pleasant Mound, Billy Bone of Hookdale, Bobby Bone of Greenville, Lisa Hogue of Greenville, Nathan Taylor of Greenville, Joe Bone of Greenville, Brad Bone of Greenville and Angie Bone of Greenville; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Bone in infancy; five brothers; and one sister.
