Robert E. Graf, 84, of Mexico, MO, died Monday, April 2, 2018, at Boone Hospital in Columbia.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 7, at Mexico Elks Lodge, with the Rev. Zane Wharton officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Ohlman Cemetery in Ohlman. Pickering Funeral Home in Mexico, MO is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Graf was born March 11, 1934, in Miami, AZ, the son of Arnold Henry and Velma Ruth (Smith) Graf. He married Marjorie Dahler on June 28, 1952, in Ohlman, and she survives.

A member of the First Christian Church of Mexico, MO, he was also a member of the Mexico Elks Lodge, Missouri Trap Shooters Association, Amateur Trap Shooters Association, and a life member of the National Rifle Association (NRA). He had been inducted into the Missouri Trap Shooting Hall of Fame.

A pilot, he loved flying. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and farming.

He is survived by two sons, Robert E. Graf II and Carl A. Graf, both of Mexico, MO; two daughters, Diana K. Graf of Cumming, GA and Lois J. (husband, Harvey W.) House of Lone Jack, MO; one brother, Howard (wife, Dorothy) Graf of Mexico, MO; one sister, Linda (husband, Tom) Groves of Mexico, MO; five grandchildren, Isaac Birch, Lisbeth Forrester, Hayden Birch, Ambrah Evans and Keith House; and 18 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister,  Arlene Moon; one granddaughter, Rachel; one son-in-law, Thomas Birch; and his birth mother, Arla Mae (Henderson) Graf.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or to the Missouri Trap Shooters Association, to be used for youth scholarships. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home at 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
