Robert Lee Durbin, 90, of Witt, died at 11:08 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at  Hillsboro Rehabilitation and  Healthcare Center.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday May 18, at the Witt United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Witt Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 17, at the church. Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home is handling arrangements

The son of Walter and Thelma (Redman) Durbin, he was born in Irving on May 1, 1929. He married Imogene M. Armentrout Oct. 20, 1949, in the Witt United Methodist Church, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 31, 2016. 

Mr. Durbin retired from Caterpillar in Decatur. He was a member of the Witt Lions Club, Witt United Methodist Church where he was a lay leader, Irving Masonic Lodge, Ansar Shrine, served on the Montgomery County Board, and was former president of the Nokomis-Witt Ambulance board.

He is survived by children Roberta (Duane) White of Macon, Kim (Lynnette) Durbin of Maumelle, AR, Connie (Don) Smalley of Nokomis and Roger (Carol) Durbin of Witt; grandchildren Michael, Chris, Shannon, Brett, David, Tim, Heather, Ryan, Sammy, Kristin and Eric; great-grandchildren Cody, Travis, Haliegh and Kole; great-great-grandchildren Collin, Hannah, Zoey, Kaleb, Landri, Avaianna, Alexander, Lucas, Jordan, Bailey and Kain; brother Ralph (Reese) Durbin of Bettendorf, IA; and sister Kay (Toni) Ballan of Shattuc.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers Harold, Kenneth and Alvin "LeRoy."
