Robert L. Hefley, 68, of Hillsboro, died on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, at Hillsboro Area Hospital.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 28, beginning at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Cemetery in rural Irving with the Rev. James Hayes officiating. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family. Guidelines set forth by the CDC will be followed, including masks and social distancing.
Mr. Hefley was born on March 31, 1952, in Hillsboro, to Homer L. and Betty (Durbin) Hefley. He graduated from Hillsboro High School, and went on to work for the village of Schram City for over 37 years.
Mr. Hefley loved riding horses and his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his mother; three brothers, Bill (Kay) Hefley, Larry (Janice) Hefley and Steve (Lisa) Hefley, all of Hillsboro; sister, Sherry (Gary) Loskot of Irving; and nieces and nephews, Chris Dobson, Nick Hefley and Tyler, Kaitlynn and Ella Loskot.
Mr. Hefley was preceded in death by his father.
