Rodney E. "Butch" Wright, 65, of Ramsey, died Tuesday, April 2, at his home.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 14, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Travis Warner officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in rural Ramsey.
Mr. Wright was born Aug. 30, 1953, in Pana, the son of Genevieve (Worker) Harris. He was raised by his grandparents, Everett and Beatrice Worker.
A former employee of IDOT, he was a farmer and Precinct Committee member. He loved hunting and fishing, and was affiliated with the Baptist faith.
He is survived by sons, Marc (Maggie) Wright of Ballwin, MO and Todd (Amy) Wright of Shelbyville; daughters, Nicole Wright of Flat Rock and Andrea (Shawn) Gangloff of Robinson; brothers, Steve Wright of Beecher City and Rich Harris of Pinckneyville; sisters, Vicky Heinrich of Vernon, Jerri Jo Harris of Vandalia, Shannon Harris and Sharron Harris, both of Decatur; partner, Karen Wright of Ramsey; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
