Ronald W. Daisley, 78, of Vandalia, died Saturday, June 6, 2020, at Vandalia Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded. No funeral services will be held at this time. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia is assisting the family.

Mr. Daisley was born Aug. 20, 1941, in Milford, MA, the son of Avery E. and Rena M. (Richards) Daisley. He married Pamela Kay Gunther on April 2, 1977, in Muskegon, MI, and she survives.

A retired manager at CIPS, he was a co-owner/operator of Someplace Else Cafe. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a former member of the VFW Post 3862 in Vandalia and was affiliated with the Catholic faith. He loved watching car races, playing scratch-off lottery tickets and drinking coffee.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Gerald Daisley and Ronald Daisley, both of Massachusetts; daughters, Kim Daisley of Vandalia and Lisa Daisley of Florida; several nephews and nieces; and friends, Alice Wheatley and Mike of Vandalia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son; a brother, Dick; and sister, Barb.
