Ronnie Earl Stolz, 67 of Decatur, died on Nov. 27, 2023, at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Keith Ferrell officiating. Interment will follow at Nokomis City Cemetery.
Mr. Stolz was born on Aug. 28, 1956, in Springfield, to Lawrence Stolz Jr. and Delora (Ward) Stolz. Mr. Stolz loved driving around looking at older homes and farmhouses. In his free time, he enjoyed drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon while watching old and scary movies. Above all, he loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his son, Ryan Stolz and daughters Lisa Stolz, Amy Stolz and Mandy Leigh, all of Decatur; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother, Delora Stolz of Mt. Auburn; brothers Bruce (Julie) Stolz of Blue Mound and Loren Stolz of Mt. Auburn; as well as one uncle and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Stolz Jr, and his infant twin sister, Connie Sue.
