Rose Fones, 77

Rose Fones, 77, of Reno, died on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at 3:50 p.m. at her home.

Private graveside services will be held Friday, April 24,  in Reno Bethel Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Royer officiating. Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Fones was born Dec. 29, 1942, in Red Bud, to Loren and Mae Villmar Warren. She married Richard Wayne Fones on April 9, 1966, and he survives.

She grew up in Illinois and Missouri, moving with her family. Her father was a lumber jack so her family moved various places following the timber.

Mrs. Fones’ great loves in life were her family, being outside and gardening. She was a homemaker, raising her son and found great joy in tending to the home. She and her family were members of the Reno Baptist Church family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Richard (wife Andrea) Fones of Greenfield; six grandchildren, Tina (husband Kyle) Drake, John (wife Harley) Fones, Katelyn (husband Dylan) Embry, Kendra McKevers, Breden Eades and Tristanna Fones; five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Kennedy, Dean, Samuel and Samson; and siblings, Loren (wife Kathy) Warren of Hillsboro, Jean (husband Gary) Royer near Dallas, TX, Wayne (wife Jenny) Warren of Panama, David (wife Janet) Warren of Fillmore, Pammy (husband Jim) Lindsey of Mulberry Grove and Debbie (husband Lynn) Pumphy of Greenville.
