Rowena May Hill, 96, of Nokomis, died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at her residence.
Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, at First Baptist Church in Nokomis with Pastor Ryan Follis officiating. Burial will follow at Nokomis Cemetery. Visitation will immediately precede funeral services from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the church. Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hill was born on May 7, 1923, in Hillsboro to Alexander E. and Hazel (Anderson) Christy. She married Dwaine R. Seifert on June 2, 1946, in Nokomis, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1978. She married Lee Hill on Aug. 6, 1980, in Hillsboro, and he preceded her on Feb. 23, 2012.
A beautician, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Nokomis.
She is survived by children Larry (Linda) Seifert of Nokomis, Kenneth (Lynda) Seifert of Ft. Collins, CO, Alex (Kerry) Seifert of Nokomis, LeAnne (Herbert) Harston of Nokomis, and Kathleen (Randy) Cravens of Lafayette, IN; stepchildren Jerry Hill of Wilmington and Phyllis (Roger) Albright of Rock Falls; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a stepson, Carl Hill; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Shirley Lecoq in 2006 and Beverley Keele in 2016.
