Ruby K. Gibson, 93, of Mt. Olive, died on Monday, May 11, 2020, at Heritage Health: Therapy and Senior Care in Gillespie.
Family graveside services will be held in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie is assisting the family.
Mrs. Gibson was born Sept. 1, 1926, in Brunot, MO, to Samuel and Martha (Davis) Rutherford. She married Alvis Shafer, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1952. She later married Edgar Gibson, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1997.
During her career, she served as a CNA for St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
Mrs. Gibson was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gillespie and Sweet Springs Baptist Church in Missouri. She enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with family.
She is survived by her children, Jane Shafer, Bonnie Gibson, both of Mt. Olive, Juanita (companion Bob Schrum) Shafer of De Soto, MO, Kathy (companion Steve Gleason) Pryor of Gillespie, Retha (husband Alan) Hinkle of Fredericktown, MO, and Tim (wife Yvette) Gibson of Huntsville, MO; grandchildren, Kerrie Tosetti, Lynn Petrelli, Noam Gibson, Lisa Gibson-Monroe, Becky Gibson, Kim Stoops, Lori Brandt, Bobbi Robbins, Kelli Hamann, Joshua Pryor, Staci Lee, Joni Figge, Thomas Hinkle, Sam Gibson, Phil Gibson, Caleb Gibson, Hannah Gibson and Rachel Gibson; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church in Gillespie.
