Ruth Ann Traylor, 79, of Litchfield, died on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, at Montgomery Nursing and Rehab in Taylor Springs.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m., at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield, with Jon Magnuson officiating. A funeral procession will form at 10:45 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home to proceed to the cemetery.
Mrs. Traylor was born on Feb. 7, 1947, to Glenn and Harriet (Plooper) Shreve.
After attending Mt. Olive High School, she was employed by Roller Derby and Echlin, both in Litchfield. She and Tad Freezeland were married; he preceded her in death. In 1971, she and George Traylor were married; he preceded her in death in 2015.
Mrs. Traylor loved gardening and flowers; she had a special fondness for Betty Boop, and she loved dogs, especially her dog, King.
Mrs. Traylor is survived by her son, Phillip Freezeland of Litchfield; her daughter, Angela (Freezeland) Sparling of Gillespie; her sisters, Diane Rilling and Donna (David Thompson) Mander; her grandchildren, Nichole (Bradley) Lyons, Haley Freezeland, Jonathan Freezeland, Justin Freezeland, Jenna Sparling and Joey Sparling; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Shreve, Philip Shreve and Johnny Shreve; and her sister, Stella Marit.
