Ryan Christopher Ogden, 44, of Berkeley Springs, WV, died on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020.
A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, March 7, at Berkeley Baptist Church in Berkeley Springs, WV, with Pastor Joseph Giles, Jr. officiating. A private burial followed. A local Celebration of Life will be conducted Saturday, March 21, beginning at 3 p.m. at Staunton VFW Post 1241 with Dena Allen officiating. Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Berkeley Springs, WV, assisted the family.
Mr. Ogden was born Feb. 18, 1975, in Springfield, John and Diana (Rhodes) Ogden. He married Tammy Lynn Beavers, and she survives.
He graduated from an Illinois public school and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. During his career, he served as a chef with Coolfont Resort and The Country Inn and worked as a cook with Morgan County Senior Life Services.
Mr. Ogden was an outdoors type of guy and enjoyed being out in nature hiking. He was a member of Berkeley Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife of ten years, he is survived by his children, Dresden Kristof Ogden, Pamela Lynn Ogden, Adalaide Valkyria Ogden, Wolfgang Ogden and Christopher Ogden, all of Berkeley Springs, WV; his mother, Diana (Rhodes) Ogden Augustine of Berkeley Springs, WV; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mr. Ogden was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Howard and Phyllis Ogden and Allen and Bertie Rhodes; and cousin, Taryn Edwards.
