Sandra Lynn Lane, 76, of Staunton, died at 7:15 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Staunton Health & Rehab Center.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton.
Mrs. Lane was born May 22, 1947 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Dougald and Florence (Labuhn) Thompson. She married Charles H. “Chip” Lane on Oct. 29, 1977 in Palos Park and he preceeded her in death on Oct. 27, 2019.
She was employed as a bookkeeper at First National Bank in Staunton for many years.
Mrs. Lane is survived by three daughters, Sara (John) Knowles of Staunton, Natalie Moore of Coffeen and Charlene Lane of Oak Lawn; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn (Carl) Rendel of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by one sister, Susan Ziglar and one brother, Ronald Thompson.
Memorials are suggested to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
