The legacy of longtime WSMI radio broadcaster Terry Todt will be on display on Saturday, Dec. 14, as the second annual T. Todt Shootout takes place at the Lincolnwood High School gym.
Todt, a Raymond native and Lincolnwood grad, passed away after a long bout with cancer on May 23, 2019, at the age of 63. Proceeds from this year's 16-team, eight game basketball extravaganza will benefit the Montgomery County Cancer Association, who assisted Todt and hundreds of other cancer patients in Montgomery County.
This year's shootout begins at 9:30 a.m. with the Lincolnwood girls taking on Hillsboro, followed by the Pawnee girls playing Carlinville at 11 a.m. The first of five boys games begins at 12:30 p.m. as Carlinville faces Carrollton.
After that, it's Gillespie versus North Mac at 2 p.m., Nokomis versus Southwestern at 3:30 p.m. and Lincolnwood versus Litchfield at 5 p.m. The final girls game of the night is between Rochester and Pleasant Plains, with the evening culminating with the Hillsboro boys playing New Berlin at 8 p.m.
