The Hillsboro Breakfast Sertoma Club is delighted to share that it has been selected as a recipient of the 2025 Sertoma Club Grant - a meaningful milestone that honors the club’s longstanding tradition of volunteer service, stewardship and community leadership.
For 64 years, members of the Hillsboro Sertoma Club have poured their hearts into servicing Hillsboro and the surrounding community. This grant is a beautiful continuation of that legacy.
The grant will directly benefit services provided by the speech and language therapy department at Hillsboro Health. This grant will assist the staff so that they can continue their vital work in supporting speech and language training.
The Hillsboro Sertoma Club has supported these programs and activities for over 50 years. The Hillsboro Sertoma Club conducts various fund raisers during the year to obtain funding to support the local community.
“We are very excited to receive a 2025 Sertoma Community Club Grant. It not only celebrates our history of service but also gives us the opportunity to support our planned beneficiaries in their important mission.” said Sertoma Club President Bob Schwandner. “This grant will make a meaningful difference in obtaining speech and language materials, and we are truly grateful to share in this work.”
The Hillsboro Breakfast Sertoma Club is proud to be part of the Sertoma International family, a network of local civic service clubs that, for over a century, has devoted itself to improving the quality of life for those at risk or affected by hearing loss through education and support.
“We are thrilled to support the Hillsboro Sertoma Club as it continues its heartfelt mission of building a stronger, more connected community, while contributing to Sertoma’s enduring legacy of Serviced to Mankind,” said Sertoma International Executive Director Jason Camis. “At Sertoma, we believe that every act of service, big or small, creates a ripple of hope. This grant is one more ripple that will move through the community, touching lives for years to come.”
