Shane Allen Tomazzoli, 48, of Nokomis, formerly of Litchfield, died on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, at the University of Chicago Hospital in Chicago.

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Mike Rogers of Litchfield Southern Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be held at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.

Mr. Tomazzoli was born June 13, 1972, in Springfield, to Richard Ellen and Linda Sue (Bangert) Tomazzoli. He married Mona Carroll, and they later divorced.

He attended Litchfield High School. During his career, he served as an operating engineer with Operating Engineers Local 965-Springfield, of which he was a member for the past 25 years.

Mr. Tomazzoli enjoyed farming, fishing, side-by-side riding, walking through the timber and especially cherished his daughter, Jenna.

He is survived by his father of Nokomis; daughter, Jenna Tomazzoli of Nokomis; special friend, Kim Black of Nokomis; two uncles, Paul (Barb) Tomazzoli of Hillsboro and Robert Corrado of Litchfield; two aunts, Darla (Wayne) Feldmann and Joan Bangert, both of Litchfield; and several cousins, Dawn (Dave) Steward of Buellton, CA, Paul (Lisa) Tomazzoli, Jr. of Cobden, Sean (Michelle) Tomazzoli of Germantown, Tina (Joe) Tylisz of Lithia, FL, Joe Norris of Langleyville, Terra and Tina Tomazzoli, both of Springfield, Tara (Nathan) Gerl, Robert (Carrie) Bangert, Jr. and Michelle (John) Hopper, all of Litchfield.

Mr. Tomazzoli was preceded in death by his mother; paternal grandfather, Mario Tomazzoli; maternal grandparents, Murel and Garnett (Simpson) Bangert; uncle, Robert G. Bangert, Sr.; aunts, Mary Tomazzoli and Vicki Corrado; and infant sister, Angela Sue Tomazzoli.
