Sherry Lynn Niemeyer, 68, of McPherson, KS, formerly of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Hemken officiating. Burial will be held in Green Hill Cemetery in Van Burensburg.
Mrs. Niemeyer was born Sept. 17, 1952, in Joliet, to Harold and Marie (Fuller) Brown. She married Loren Niemeyer, and they later divorced.
She attended Lincoln Land and Sauk Valley Community colleges. She was an office administrator and a past member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro. She loved to read, sew and take rides.
She is survived by one son, Michael (Shelly) Niemeyer of Kentucky; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; siblings, Sandy (Fred) Heinemann of Chatham, Jennifer (Bob) Campbell of Hillsboro, Ken Brown of Litchfield, Don (Vicky) Brown of Florida, Becky (George) Campbell of Litchfield and Debbie (Puff) Dorf of Kansas; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Benjamin Michael Scott.
