Shirley Ann (Kemna) Luebke, 85, formerly of Coffeen, died on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia, MO.

A private family inurnment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery in St. Elizabeth, MO. Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth, MO, is assisting the family.

Mrs. Luebke was born Aug. 13, 1935, in St. Elizabeth, MO, to Theodore and Wilhemina “Minnie” (Rehagen) Kemna. She married Richard Elvin Luebke on Aug. 23, 1982, in Hillsboro, MO, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 2011.

She grew up in the St. Elizabeth, MO, rural area and following graduation from St. Elizabeth R-IV, she moved to the St. Louis area, where she worked at various businesses. 

Mrs. Luebke would then serve as a switchboard operator at Hillsboro Area Hospital, where she retired on Aug. 15, 1997, after over 20 years of service.

She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, never missing a chance to tune in to watch their games.

Mrs. Luebke is survived by two stepsons, Gary Luebke of Chicago and Rich Luebke of St. Louis, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Lawrence Kemna, Lorraine Buschjost, Irene Buechter, Marie Kemna, Steve Kemna and Eleanor Eppers; and stepson, Steve Luebke.
