Shirley Jean Snow, 81, of Lawrenceville, formerly of Coffeen, died on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, at 7 a.m. at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Toberman Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Aug. 29, beginning at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dwayne Sovdi, pastor of Chauncey Church of God in Sumner, officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Coffeen.

Mrs. Snow was born Jan. 26, 1938, in Ramsey, to Nelson and Larraine (Merriman) Hill. She married Benny L. Snow on Feb. 11, 1956, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Coffeen, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2003.

She graduated from Hinckley High School in Hinckley, and spent her career in food service as a restaurant cook.

Mrs. Snow was a member of New Life Assembly in Coffeen, and loved to play Bingo, read and spend time with family and friends. During her lifetime, she lived in DeKalb before moving to Coffeen in 1965, then on to Lawrenceville in 2015.

She is survived by two sons, Terry (wife Brenda) Snow of Texas and Tom (wife Linda) Snow of Coffeen; a daughter, Angela (husband Gary) McCaslin of Sumner; eight grandchildren, Tim Snow, Michelle Bass, Brandon McCaslin, Travis McCaslin, Traci McCaslin, Ashley Mahan, Kayla Taylor and Austin Fairless; 16 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Diane (husband Marty) Kinney and Dan (wife Peg) Hill, both of Sandwich.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Snow was preceded in death by her parents.
