Shirley M. McGill, 78, of Donnellson, died on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at 7:25 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 9, from noon to 2 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Services will begin at 2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home, with Gary Stanford, pastor of Taylor Springs Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Panama. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. McGill was born on Jan. 27, 1942, in Reno, to Luther A. and Freda E. (Brewer) White. She married Allen Lee McGill on Dec. 23, 1961, at Donnellson, he preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 2011.
Mrs. McGill was a housewife who lived in Reno, Panama and Donnellson throughout her life. She loved to play bingo and make plastic canvas crafts.
Mrs. McGill is survived by her children, Elizabeth McGill of Donnellson and companion Terry Vollintine Sr., and Lisa (Bruce) Allen of Alhambra; grandchildren, Robin Allen and Victoria Allen; and siblings, David White, Jeffrey White, Timothy White, George White, Ray White, Frances Randle and Ruth Jernigan.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and siblings, William White, Ronald White, Norman White, Allen White, Patricia Lynch and Nelda Stratton.
