Shirley M. Reincke, 84, of Irving, died Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, at 11:57 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 11, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Randy Sands, pastor of the Free Methodist Church in Hillsboro officiating. Burial will be held in Irving Cemetery. Family has requested for individuals to wear their favorite team apparel to the services, as she was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Mrs. Reincke was born July 14, 1935, in Brookfield, the daughter of Robert and Emma (Schmidt) Bandelow. She married Leland V. "Bud" Reincke on April 4, 1957, in Hillsboro, and he preceded her in death on May 1, 1996.

She was raised in Western Springs and she lived in Springfield for one year before moving to Irving in 1957. She graduated from Lyons Township High School in LaGrange in 1952.

A bus driver for the Hillsboro School District from 1971 to 1992, before she retired, she was also a homemaker. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.

She is survived by four sons, James (wife Carrie) Reincke of Sorento, Roger (wife Ruth) Reincke of Irving, Richard (wife Amy) Reincke of Hillsboro and Larry (wife Michele) Reincke of Irving; one daughter-in-law, Marsha Reincke of Glendale, AZ; six grandchildren, Dale Reincke, Heather (Reincke) Greenwood, Matthew Reincke, Lucas Reincke, Jennifer Reincke and Ryan Reincke; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Bandelow, Jr. of Dowers Grove, Michael Bandelow of Loami; and one sister, Jeanine (Victor) Muchow of Springfield.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by children, Leland "Van" Reincke and  Kevin Reincke; and one sister, Carol Bergman.

Memorials may be made to the Hillsboro Sports Association or Irving Cemetery in Irving.
