Sorento held their annual Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 22. The family-friendly event featured a variety of vendor and food booths. The Shoal Creek Fire Protection District opened their station to serve their much anticipated chicken and fish dinners.
The rainstorm on Sunday afternoon did not dampen the Fall Festival's parade. The local Girl Scouts troop's Moana float won first place in the in-town floats division and the Bond County Secret Santa Society won first place in the out-of-town division. Additional parade participants included Don Wall, Jr., Jack Wall, David and Kelley Voyles on their tractors, Cale Elam on his motorcycle, Pocahontas American Legion, Greenville High School marching band and color guard, area Fire and Police Stations, and local Democrat and Republican groups.
