Earlier this month, Lyerla was in Indiana for Midwest Sprint Car Series races on July 10 and July 13. In the July 10 race at Terre Haute Action Track, Lyerla would finish fourth in his heat race before taking eighth overall in the feature.
Three days later, Lyerla would be sixth in his heat race at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, IN, before advancing to the feature with a second place finish in the B Main.
On June 28, the Hillsboro racer took fourth in his heat race at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, then finished 19th in the feature race, which was part of the POWRi WAR Sprint series.
That race was Lyerla's second POWRi WAR race. On May 4, he placed tenth overall at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO, after coming in third in his heat race.
Lyerla also raced in Granite City on May 17, in the USAC River Town Showdown. After finishing seventh in his heat race, Lyerla ran eighth in the semifinal race, just missing a spot in the feature by one place.
