Stanley “Stan” T. Toberman, 80, of Fillmore, died on Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at his home.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home in Fillmore. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 12, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Harry Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore.

Mr. Toberman was born July 7, 1940, in Vandalia, to John Labon and Alpha Elizabeth Jane (Summers) Warren. He moved to Bayle City in 1951, when he became the son of Maurice and Hazel Toberman. He married Janice Fae Alexander on May 17, 1969, in Fillmore, and she survives.

During his career, he was employed at Firestone Tire Manufacturing in Decatur. He was a member of the Fillmore Historical Society and affiliate of the Fillmore United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Toberman is survived by his sons, Tony Toberman of Highland, Kent Toberman of Florida and Greg (Chrystal) Toberman of Pana; daughters, Rhonda (Ken) Kates of Decatur, Tonya (Harvey) Rench and Banee’ (Craig) Ulrici, both of Fillmore; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Woods of Kannapolis, NC, and Ruth Ann Bains of Mt. Vernon; brother, Douglas Johnson of Mt. Vernon; and half brothers, Jim Hornbeck and Frank Hornbeck, both of Vandalia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Cecil Warren; sister, Frances Hill; 13 half brothers and sisters; son-in-law, Michael Bell; and great-grandchild, Gemma Toberman.
