Starr Lavonne Cranford, 61, of Litchfield, died on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 3:05 a.m. at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 20, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Funeral services for Mrs. Cranford will be held on Tuesday, July 21, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jon Magnuson of Beacon Church in Litchfield officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
Mrs. Cranford was born on October 31, 1964, a daughter of Harold (Dave) and Kay Arlene (Heisman) Jones. She graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1983 and went on to obtain her cosmetologist license from Tri-County Beauty Academy. She married Gary Lee Cranford on September 29, 1984, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield.
Mrs. Cranford was employed as a chiropractic assistant for Dr. Brad Virgin at Virgin Chiropractic in Litchfield and later worked with Dr. Brad Morris at Montgomery County Chiropractic as a chiropractic assistant for several years. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, reading, crocheting cozy baby blankets and creating beautiful floral arrangements. She will always be remembered as an excellent cook. She was thoughtful, kind and caring and above all else, she loved her family to the moon and back.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her father, Harold (Dave) Jones of Litchfield; daughters, Brandi (Ross III) Wilson of Sorento and Kelsey (Dustin) Libbra of Litchfield; brother, Carl (Jennie) Jones of Litchfield; brother-in-law, Brad Cranford (companion, Vera); sister, Vickie (Tony) Throne of Litchfield; sister-in-law, Debra (Todd) Pyle of Danville, KY; grandchildren, Paitynn Wilson, Gunnar Wilson and Jaxson Kroll; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Cranford was preceded in death by her mother, Kay Jones; and her mother-in-law, Carol Lee Cranford.
