Steven Adam Douglas, 41, of Witt, died Sunday, June 6, 2021, at 1:06 p.m. at his residence.

Cremation rites were accorded. Private funeral services will be held with the Rev. Sue Bryce of the United Methodist Church in Irving officiating. Burial will be held in Irving Cemetery. COVID-19 CDC guidelines will be followed.

Mr. Douglas was born Jan. 5, 1980, in Hillsboro, the son of Harold L. Douglas and Janice (Kirk) Stolte. He married Melissa Warren, and they later divorced. 

He attended Hillsboro schools, lived in the Irving and Witt area all of his life, and owned a tree trimming business. He loved his dogs.

In addition to his mother, Janice (husband Everett) Stolte of Irving, he is survived by his children, Jason Everling, Sierra Douglas, Thomas Douglas and Paige Douglas; siblings, Debbie King of Hillsboro, Michael (wife Tina) Furlow of Jacksonville, Sean Furlow of Nokomis and Lance (wife Lisa) of Witt; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.
