Summer Rae Eller, 22, of Nokomis, formerly of Ramsey, died on Friday, March 15, 2024, in Nokomis.
Visitation for Ms. Eller will be held Thursday, March 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, located at 200 East State St. in Nokomis. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Eller was born Nov. 20, 2001, in Taylorville, to Melvin and Valerie (Smith) Eller, Jr. She was a graduate of Nokomis High School with the class of 2020 and was proud to be an assistant manager at the Dollar General Store in Nokomis, where she was always dependable and very helpful.
Ms. Eller was a cheerleader at Caitlin Junior High School in South Fork. She loved going camping with her family and was a ray of sunshine and full of life. Her family and friends say she was kind, graceful, generous and full of life. She had a heart of gold and was considerate of others.
Ms. Eller was a snappy dresser and loved shopping for shoes and getting her nails done. She loved to go out to eat Mexican and Chinese food with her friends and was always the life of the party. She shared her apartment with her cat, Milo.
Ms. Eller is survived by her mother, Valerie Smith of Ramsey; father, Melvin “Jay” Eller Jr. of Brownstown; brothers, JJ Eller of Brownstown and Dayton Crow of Ramsey; sister, Rylee Crow of Ramsey; grandmother, Nancy Virden; grandfather, Rex Campbell; grandmother, Shannia Eller; grandfather, Melvin Eller Sr. and great-grandmother, Flonnie Beatty.
She was preceded in death by by her grandfather, Gary Virden; Uncles Michael Campbell, Uncle "D" and Kenneth Smith; and cousin Kaleb Rhodes.
