Susan E. Nowell, 65, of Litchfield, died on Monday, March 9, 2020, at 11:10 p.m. at her residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield is assisting the family.
Mrs. Nowell was born Dec. 31, 1954, to Robert and Edna E. (Bracken) Meyer. She married Louis E. Nowell on Nov. 22, 1972, in Carlinville, and he survives.
In her early years, she worked at several different factories, later becoming a homemaker and raising three sons.
Mrs. Nowell enjoyed doing crafts with her grandchildren and making beautiful, decorative wreaths for holidays and special occasions. She was also a florist and baked and decorated several wedding cakes.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Louis “Louie” (Julie) Nowell, Levi (Katie) Nowell, both of Litchfield, and Andy (Stephanie) Nowell of Columbia; eight grandchildren, Kayla, Brandon, Levi Jr., Abigail, Kasey, Drew, Zander and Tristen; brothers, Robert (Brenda) Meyer of Ridgeland, SC, and Charles (Sheila) Wall and Adam Wall, both of Mt. Olive; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Nowell was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Terry Meyer; and sister, Amy Wall.
