After watching the news lately I decided I wanted to express some of my humble views.
For a year now we have been challenged with one of the worst–if not the worst–pandemics the world has known. But it does look like things are getting better each day, week and month.
I especially think we need to thank the four school districts of the county–the administrations, school boards, the teachers, custodial staff, bus drivers, school nurses and anyone else involved in keeping our schools open. Having a somewhat normal year for our children is one of the most important things we can do. I hear from parents and grandparents of other districts that they are not so lucky. Zoom learning is not the answer.
We should also be thankful for the dedicated doctors, nurses and all of their staff for the long hours they have been putting in. We should be proud of our towns and businesses. Patronize them the best you can. Look out for each other, and hopefully soon we can look back and say we had a tremendous challenge and together we conquered it.
