Thelma A. Singler, 92

Thelma Ann Singler, 92, of Nokomis, died on Monday, Feb. 3, 2020, at 3:15 p.m. in her home.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Camp Butler Cemetery in Springfield.

Mrs. Singler was born April 13, 1927, in Decatur, to Viola (Tate) and Raymond Jones. She married Kenneth D. Singler in May 1950, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2008.

During her career, she worked at Hedlund Ski Factory and the Dress Factory. She was also a hog farmer, farm wife and mother.

Mrs. Singler is survived by her children, Brenda L. (Bob) Barnstable, Robert D. Singler, Carolyn S. Reed and Kathy L. (Mark) Bolte, all of Nokomis; grandchildren, Amy (Nate) Blaum, Mindy Cole, Mitchell (Ashley) Cole, Neil Barnstable, David Scott and Dondee Humphrey; foster children; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Noah and Jaxon Blaum, Lennox, Harper and Everly Cole.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Coy and Loy Jones; sister, Fern Mathias; and grandson, Matthew Cole.
