The Montgomery County Health Department reported 13 new COVID-19 coronavirus cases during the week of April 18-24 for a local positivity rate of 0.7 percent.
Through the first three weeks of April, the county has had 57 new positive tests for a total of 2,883 since the pandemic began.
According to the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), Montgomery County is 25.73 percent fully vaccinated as of Sunday, April 25.
Vaccination clinics continue through the Montgomery County Health Department, and pre-registration is required. To register, find links on the health department website montgomeryco.com/health or on the health department’s Facebook page.
Those who would like to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and need help with online registration should call the health department at 217-532-2001 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Free weekend rapid testing through the health department continues on Saturdays and Sundays in April at Litchfield Family Practice from 1-3 p.m. or until 40 tests have been completed.
