Timothy R. Adams, 60, of Gillespie, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, at his residence with his family by his side.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville is assisting the family.
Mr. Adams was born Nov. 4, 1959, in Wood River, to William and Ruby (Carter) Adams. He married Dianne Koniak in 1983, and they later divorced in 1990.
The owner of Adam’s Painting in Gillespie, he provided both residential and commercial painting in Gillespie and surrounding areas, retiring after 25 years. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. One of his favorite hobbies was flying and working on drones.
He is survived by his daughters, Amy Adams and Samantha (Kramer) Burbridge, both of Gillespie, and Saleena Adams of Nokomis; sons, J.D. Adams and Daniel Adams, both of Gillespie; 15 grandchildren; brothers, Les Adams of Gillespie, Calvin (Jo) Adams of Granite City, Terry Adams of East Alton, Bill Adams of Fosterburg and Carl Adams of East Alton; sisters, Dee (Elmer) Baremore of Kampsville and Bonnie Moran of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jay and Mike Adams; and a sister, JoAnn Adams.
