The Lincolnwood girls golf team missed a sweep in Pana by just one stroke on Thursday, Sept. 17, as they finished second to Taylorville at Oak Terrace Golf Course in Pana.
The Lady Lancers shot a 225 on the day, just a stroke behind the Lady Tornadoes, who finished with a 224 behind medalist Sophia Robinson’s 49. Pana would finish third on their home course, shooting a 244.
Lincolnwood’s three seniors would be linked together on the scorecards, with just three strokes separating the trio. Dorie Krager would take the team’s top spot with a 53, while Micah Gehlbach and Jordyn Gerlach followed with a 54 and a 55. Kaylee Gerlach would contribute the fourth varsity score, her first time posting a scoring round, as she finished the day with a 63.
Jhia Walker and Marisa Webb would also play for the Lancers, finishing the day with a 64 and a 69 respectively.
