Two More Cases Require 40 Students To Isolate

Forty more students at Hillsboro High School were required to quarantine after two more students tested positive for coronavirus, the school district announced on Thursday, Oct. 15.

The two newest cases, discovered on Wednesday afternoon, were the fifth and sixth cases at Hillsboro High School over an eight-day span.

On Saturday, Oct. 17, the Montgomery County Health Department announced the15th COVID-19 death in the county, the second in October.  As of Sunday, Oct. 18, the health department lists 510 positive cases since the start of the pandemic, an increase of 70 confirmed cases in the past week for a positivity rate of 2.8 percent.
