Theodore “Ted” Francis Millburg, 84, of Taylorville, died on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville, located at 116 W. Adam Street, on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at St. Maurice Cemetery in Morrisonville.
Mr. Millburg was born on March 5, 1941, in Taylorville, to parents Bernhard and Merle Ree (Beck) Millburg. He was a police officer for 25 years in Pawnee and Morrisonville.
Mr. Millburg is survived by his children, Ted (Jill) Millburg Jr. of Clinton, Doug (Becky) Millburg of Auburn, Mike Millburg of Morrisonville and Bill (Teresa) Millburg Sr. of Taylorville; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce White, Janice Hough and Jill Bell; and brother, Terry Millburg.
Mr. Millburg was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Phyllis and his brother, Tom Millburg.
