Valgenia Mae Savage, 76, of Litchfield, died Sunday, Nov. 21. 2021, at 6:30 p.m. at her residence.

Services will be held at a later date. Litchfield Family Funeral Services is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Savage was born March 4, 1945 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Mack Edgar and Edna Elizabeth (Simpson) Shelton. She married Darrell Dean Savage on July 12, 1963 in Hillsboro.

Mrs. Savage was a member of the Southside Church in Litchfield and worked at Echlin and Walmart, both in Litchfield. She enjoyed going to church, playing Bingo, bowling, and family gatherings. Her cooking and laughter will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband; daughters Connie (husband Darren) Cartwright and Deanna (husband Darren) Jones, both of Litchfield; six grandchildren, Cory Carter, Sarah (husband Jon) Niehaus, Adam (wife Amber) Carter, Jessica Trimble, Jimmy Belt, and Ryan Jones; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her church family; and good friend Judy Plasters.

Mrs. Savage was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Lloyd and Howard Jackson, Donald, Bruce “Boob,” and Pete Shelton; and sister Melba Shriver.
