Velma M. Durbin, 95

Velma Marie Durbin, 95, of Morrisonville, died on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at 12:48 p.m. at her residence.

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Perfetti-Assalley Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 30, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Chad Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Cemetery in Palmer.

Mrs. Durbin was born April 12, 1925, in rural Palmer, to William Frank and Lillie Mae (Skinner) McKinney. She married Connie Durbin on Feb. 2, 1946, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 1990.

She retired from St. Vincent’s Hospital in 1991, after over 20 years of service. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Morrisonville.

Mrs. Durbin is survived by her daughters, Carol Mae Durbin, Rosanne (husband Arlen) Olinger, Kathy Durbin, all of Morrisonville, and Peggy Jo (husband Jerry) Anderson of Butler; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Bonacorsi of Taylorville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Sue Underwood; and brothers, Charlie McKinney and his wife, Jean, and LeRoy McKinney.
