Viola "Tootie" Rose (Harrison) Nockman, 82, of Hillsboro, died on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019, at her residence.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Nockman was born Feb. 5, 1937, in Petterson, NJ, to Betty Harrison. She married Lester Nockman on April 24, 1954, in White City, and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2018.

During her career, she worked at Montgomery County Nursing Home, Roller Derby in Litchfield, and retired from Hillsboro Hospital.

In her spare time, Mrs. Nockman enjoyed being with her family, working on crossword puzzle books and playing gin rummy.

She is survived by her children, Betty (Edward) Kuhl of Sorento, Patty (Jerry) Kellenberger of Taylor Springs and Mary Duvall of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Ronnie and Shane Cook of Sorento, Cory Eulberg of Kewanee, Jesse Turner of Godfrey, Crystal Flint, Amy Irwin and Jason Nockman, all of Hillsboro; two stepgranddaughters, Cindy Goth of Springfield and Anna Fredick of San Antonio, TX; 13 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Nockman was preceded in death by her parents, Betty (Harry) Paisley; and a son, William "Billy" Nockman.
