Virginia Carole Robbins, 96, of Bloomington, CA, formerly of Hillsboro, died on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at her home.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 9, in Green Acres Memorial Park in Bloomington, CA. Burial will follow the services. A Celebration of Life will follow the burial at Grace Lutheran Church in Rialto, CA.
Mrs. Robbins was born in 1923, in Hillsboro, to Sharon Emmit and Mary Katrina "Katie" (Newport) Green. She married Robert Robbins in 1942, in Hillsboro, and he preceded her in death.
Following her marriage and the end of WWII, she and her new husband made their home in Bloomington, CA.
During her career, Mrs. Robbins worked for the Bloomington School District and First Lutheran Preschool in Fontana, CA, for many years. She was a 60-year member of Grace Lutheran Church in Rialto, CA, and enjoyed years of membership in many volunteer and service organizations.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (husband Joe) Guerra of Rialto, CA; a son, Mark (wife Susan) Robbins of San Diego, CA; a brother, Harold Green of Hillsboro; two sisters, Camilla Reimer of Springfield and Sharon Green of Naples, FL; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Betty Milliken and Joann Hopley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church, 539 N. Acacia, Rialto, CA 92376.
