Virginia “Toots” Geraldine Sims, 94, of Litchfield, died on April 11, 2024 at Hillsboro Nursing and Rehab.
A private family service was held. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sims was born on Nov. 23, 1929, in Litchfield, to her parents, the late Jesse and Nellie (Kahle) Kinder. She married Cecil Sims and he preceded her in death in April of 1986.
She worked at Brown Shoe Factory in Litchfield and also was a part of the Litchfield Moose Club #1643.
Mrs. Sims is survived by her niece, Becky (Glenn) Blankenship; great-niece, Nicole (Tony) Wilkinson; great-nephew, Nathan (Kristin) Fenton; several other nieces and nephews; and sister, Betty Uchtman of Litchfield.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings Shirley Keiser, Terry Kinder, and Barbara who died in infancy.
