Virginia M. Kuhn, 101, of Oconee, died on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Pana Community Hospital.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home in Pana. An additional visitation will be held Tuesday, March 17, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oconee. Funeral Mass will follow, beginning at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Rodney A. Schwartz officiating. Burial will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Oconee.

Mrs. Kuhn was born May 4, 1918, in rural Dollville, to John Henry and Nellie Louise (Beyers) Klein. She married Robert Charles Kuhn on Dec. 30, 1941, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Pana, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 2015.

Before her marriage, she worked at Penwell’s and served as a receptionist for Dr. Eberspacher and then for CIPS. Throughout her 73-marriage, she was a homemaker on the family dairy farm.

Mrs. Kuhn was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oconee. She and her husband were well known for their kettle corn stand at the Oconee Fall Festival. For over 20 years, the duo also made trips to Appalachia with clothing and supplies for the less fortunate.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and bird watching.

Mrs. Kuhn is survived by her children, Joyce (Eugene) Knodle of Fillmore, Robert L. Kuhn of Oconee, Regina (Roger) Landon of Chandlerville, Kenneth (Rhonda) Kuhn of Olney, Karen (David) Koons of Tower Hill and Randy (Mary) Kuhn of West End, NC; daughter-in-law, Kellie Kuhn of Oconee; son-in-law, James Wetherell of Springfield; 29 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Donna Klein of Pana.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Joseph Kuhn and Kevin Kuhn; daughter, Carole Wetherell; daughter-in-law, Gloria Kuhn; and siblings, Irene Wolf, John Klein, Dorothy Mickey, Kenneth Klein and LaVeta Becker.
